Demetra

The inspiration of the project

The ring bears the name of a deity, also known as “Cloe”. Its epithet means green, but also eternal youth. The goddess embodies the values of the protective mother of nature and of what is born from the Earth, just like the precious 7-carat emerald with an enchanting color that never tires and, kept in the womb of the Earth for thousands of years, came to light to then be entrusted to BAKR Jewels, able to give it eternal youth with its timeless and safe design.

A gem, the emerald, which pampers the sight with its vivid color, flaunts power by capturing every gaze upon itself.

Two lateral diamonds and a diamond belt give the strength and elegance of an eternal divinity; the crown of white gold petals support everything, making the ring light to the eye and on the finger.

Bust of Demeter. Marble, Roman copy from a Greek original from the 4th century BC (Museo Nazionale RomanoRoma).

Disarming, hypnotic and majestic

The attention necessary to the selection of the stones and gold was fundamental to the final result of the object, one of a kind in full BAKR Jewels style.

The element that stands out the most is obviously the central emerald, the green variety of the mineralogical species beryl. In particular, the gem of Demeter comes from Colombian mines, renowned for giving birth to unique examples of emeralds of an incomparable intense green, due to the type of geological process of crystal formation, which makes the vicariance of chromium possible, in the crystalline lattice but not other elements such as iron, which would give a more common green hue.

The use of natural white diamonds is the result of careful selection, favoring the best color and relative purity.

The setting takes place with millimetric precision, capable of providing an aesthetically unique result of exceptional quality.
