Padma

Padma

The inspiration of the project

With the Padma ring, diamonds and pink sapphires combine to create the symbol of rebirth, taking on the appearance of a precious lotus flower.

Ten 1.90-carat sapphires form a pink corolla that embraces the core of the flower, a 1.06-carat heart-cut diamond that expresses the life force of this jewel.

Two light points complete the picture, giving a sense of stability.

Hasu - Purity of soul

The lotus flower, whose Sanskrit name was originally Padma, has its roots immersed in the mud, in the dark, but blooms on the surface, opening the doors of its bud to the light of the Sun’s rays, floating on the water and cleaning itself from impurities.

Emblem of rebirth, resilience and self-purification, this magnificent flower, protagonist of extraordinary legends in oriental religions, is also a national symbol of the Senegalese land: Sri Lanka, a country known for its wealth of gem deposits, in particular sapphires.

To date, donating a lotus flower is an expression of esteem, admiration and hasu – purity of soul – but above all it represents the spiritual ability to overcome adversity.
